1. I choose A Sunday on La Grande Jatte and Expressionism. I selected A Sunday on La Grande Jatte because this painting is very famous and has always caught my attention. I wanted to know more about the this painting and the unanswered questions in it. I selected Expressionism because I was interested in the topic and wanted to know more.
2. The key concepts of A Sunday on La Grande Jatte video was to give a bit of history about the artist. Also to explain some theories of the many different interpretations of this masterpiece. The key concept of Expressionism was to show how different artist showed expressionism in their artworks. It also give some history on these artist to give the viewers an idea of their background and why the viewed the world the why they did.
3. A Sunday on La Grande Jatte related to the readings because this portrait was discussed in the text. The video allowed a deeper understand of the painting and the artist. The video Expressionism related the readings because this was a topic in the text book. They are many examples of expressionism throughout the text.
4. I enjoyed both films. I think it was very educational to get a deeper understand of artists of a different era. This allowed the viewers to understand why an artist made expressed his artwork a certain way.
